Getting the Most from a Healing Touch Session


1. If you have completed your initial Intake form ahead of time, please complete it thoroughly. We will spend time on your first appointment reviewing this form in detail.

2. If this is a follow-up session, please plan to review updated intentions and anything you may have noticed since your initial session. We will also review what, if any, self-care plan we created previously.

3. Before each session, we will do grounding practice together to align ourselves with the intention we set. We understand that the energy will go exactly where it is needed.

4. If you have any discomfort, please alert me prior to our starting session; it is important to me to have you as comfortable as possible.

5. It is my intention that the space we are working in is a sacred and safe place.

6. It is recommended to drink plenty of water on the day of your session. Hydration supports the body. The aim is for you to be comfortable and relaxed during your appointment.

7. Dress comfortably. Have a blanket nearby in case you feel cold. It is most vital that you are comfortable. 


What to Expect During the Healing Touch Session

For the first session, plan for 1 to 1.5 hours. We will complete the intake, or if you have already filled it out, perform a thorough review before your energy healing session. This is important to help identify what is most important to you for your session.

Every session will begin with us discussing your goals and intentions for the session. If you choose to stay on the phone for your session, be sure you have your headset on or volume increased so you can place your phone away from you and then lie down.

It is common for people to experience physical sensations such as tingling, warmth, coolness, movement, or shifts. Others may not feel any sensation. Some see colors or images in their mind's eye. Sometimes emotions change or shift as energy moves. Feel free to share what you are experiencing if you would like. As your body releases that which is no longer needed you may have physical symptoms such as yawning, tummy rumbling, even laughter or tears.

You may also doze off or sleep during a session, and this is fine; if I see that, I will gently bring you back at the end of the session. 


Self-Care After Bioenergy Healing Session


These suggestions are offered to get the most from your Healing Touch energy work.

• After your healing session, you may feel light, emotional, tired, or invigorated. Some clients report feeling slight itching. This is a normal reaction when healing work is done, especially when working on a physical issue.

• I encourage you to take good, gentle care of yourself for the rest of the day. Eat light, healthy foods, drink water and rest as much as possible.

• Stay grounded in your chosen centering activity (walking in the grass, gardening, meditating, yoga, sleep, etc.)

• Try to avoid stressful situations and negative thoughts.

• Avoid over-stimulating environments such as large crowds or loud music.

• Energy healing will continue in your body, mind, emotions, and spirit after the session is completed. You may experience feelings and energy flowing for several days. Set the intention for your process to be filled with ease. 

• For best results, do NOT schedule other bodywork (massage, acupuncture, chiropractic, etc.) for a few days as you shift and adjust. After your first session, you will understand how long it will take to integrate this type of healing work.

• Avoid holding on to emotions, thoughts, or memories that arise. Release, forgive, and let go.

• It is also advisable to pay attention to how you feel between sessions and make note of it to bring to your follow-up session.

Preparing for a Remote Healing Touch Session

1. Complete and email me your intake and informed consent forms at least 24 hours before our session. If you cannot scan and email your documents, please take a photo of them and text it to me at 860-836-3985.

2. Test using your device and software app (Zoom, FaceTime, etc.) Use the connection link provided above. Ensure the battery is charged or plugged in and ready for the session. Adjust the camera angle so you have the best possible view, and so I can see you clearly.

3. Choose a room that has a comfortable place to lie down. I recommend a couch, a yoga mat on the floor with blankets, or your bed. Act as if you were in my office for an energy-healing visit.

4. Ensure that you have a quiet and private space. Find a quiet, comfortable place free of distractions. Turn off ringers on your phone and computers. Have your headset ready if you use one for your laptop or mobile device. Have a glass of water and tissues at hand.

5. You may wish to play relaxing music, dim the lights, or close the curtains. Place pillows under your head and/or your knees if it is comfortable. As the need arises, please turn or adjust positions as you recline. Relax and close your eyes or soften your gaze. Enjoy this special time you have dedicated yourself.

6. It is recommended to drink plenty of water on the day of your session. Being well-hydrated supports the body. You may want to eliminate caffeine and other stimulants from your diet and eat lightly before your appointment to be comfortable and relax easily.
